GER Launches HC Decedent Tracking™
Global Emergency Resources, LLC (GER), a small business based in Augusta, GA has announced the latest addition to its HC Standard® Software Suite – HC Decedent Tracking™.
The HC Decedent Tracking™ application builds on GER’s 13-year history of secure mobile app development and flexible intuitive design and was created to integrate seamlessly with the remainder of the HC Standard Software Suite – including the HC Standard Patient Tracking™, CMS Tracking™, Responder Tracking™, Family Reunification™, and HAvBED Reporting Modules.
This latest module offers medical examiners, coroners, and investigators a secure mobile application to capture hundreds of data elements on decedents and body parts. Available for download onto Apple™ or Android™ devices, the app is designed to work in a disconnected state and captures GPS coordinates, pictures, video, and audio from the field. In addition to field operations, the module features chain-of-custody tracking for morgue operations, transportation mileage logs, integrated on-line help, and customizable dashboard views.
The HC Decedent Tracking™ Application redefines how medical examiners, field investigators, and coroners collect field data. Through the use of an encrypted mobile application, data is gathered, synchronized, and updated in near real time to the encrypted back-end web server. Designed to stand alone or to augment and integrate with existing case management systems, HC Decedent Tracking™ offers increased functionality for users and expanded situational awareness during daily operations or mass fatality events.
Erika Bobbitt, GER’s President, noted “This application modernizes a process that traditionally has been paper-based and improves data sharing with secure modern tools. Throughout the development process our team worked closely with our clients to understand their needs, and after several iterations, the end result is a flexible user-friendly tool that effectively tracks decedents and body parts to maintains chain-of-custody accountability from the field to the release of remains.”
